My fitbit (a.k.a bae a.k.a my true love) tells me that I am burning 800 calories and hitting 5,000 steps each morning. Before 9 a.m. I feel like the amount of coffee I consume regularly is now justifiable. #dancemajorperks
This semester is going to be great – if I can keep up with my schedule. (Classes are 9-5 p.m., with no lunch break + rehearsals almost every night.) This whole science/performing arts double major thing is hard. And I am not a person that like to admit to struggling.
But dude, I’m doing what I love. All day, every day. I get to experiment and learn in chemistry lab, and then head over to a state-of-the-art studio and learn variations from Sleeping Beauty. How many people get to do that?
Anyway, tomorrow is an audition day – for the department, and the actual dance majors. The school of dance is flying in a well known choreographer, and he’s casting for a piece he’s setting for our spring concert. And then later in the morning, I’m going over to speak with high school students who are auditioning for my university’s dance program. It pretty much a freaking exciting/nerve filled day for everyone here.
So yeah, that’s why it’s been quiet around here. I’m just busy, excited, and a teeny bit tired.
